How WildStar Transformed From A Subscription MMO To Free-To-Play

Cheap wow gold online   When sci-fi MMO Wildstar launched as a hardcore, subscription-based massively-multiplayer-online roleplaying game in June of 2014, it had gamers and critics alike scratching their collective heads in confusion.

Here was an MMO launching in 2014 that not only hoped to reel in a sustainable subscriber base in an age of free-to-play online games, but was going to do so by emulating the complex, time-consuming MMOs of bygone years. Casual was in and hardcore was out, and WildStar-which certainly looked fun and had a great art style-was already antiquated at launch.

“Five years ago the landscape looked different,” WildStar Product Director Mike Donatelli tells me. That’s when Carbine began working on the current iteration of WildStar-the game had been in development in one form or another for much longer-and back then, at least from the developer’s perspective, the subscription model wasn’t in such dire straits.

The development team decided to build the game with a subscription model in mind, which makes sense given Carbine was founded by ex-Blizzard developers in 2005(and acquired by publisher NCSoft two years later).

Blizzard’s Biggest ‘World of Warcraft: Legion’ Expansion to be Released Soon

Cheap wow gold online    The creators of the famous World of Warcraft have been teasing fans about what to expect with the next expansion. In this year, Blizzard has released two updates that are said to improve game experience and add more features. But fans are actually growing impatient for World of Warcraft: Legion which reportedly has been in planning for years now.

In an interview done by Game Reactor with Game Director Tom Chilton and Lead Game Designer Ion Hazzikostas, it was revealed that Blizzard has been planning World of Warcraft: Legion for three years. Chilton said, “We go through multiple expansions at a time and there was a point in which we were trying to decide the order of which should come first, Warlords of Draenor versus Legion … and we had decided that the right thing story wise was for Warlords to come first and lead into Legion. So we have known what we are going to do on core level since two and half three years ago or so now. It was around 2012 we were talking about that.”

Earlier this year, Blizzard released Patch 6.2.0 titled “Fury of Hellfire”. The patch brought Tanaan Jungle and the Shipyard and provided players with a host of new gameplay options, according to Master Herald. Then on September 1, the company released Patch 6.2.2 officially titled “Draenor Pathfinder: Prepare for Flying”. The patch enabled gamers who already have Draenor Pathfinder achievement the ability to fly in the skies of Draenor. But fans are wondering why Blizzard seems to have missed an update. Where is Patch 6.2.1?

Following Blizzard’s announcement in August, fans are hoping that Legion would finally be coming next. According to Master Herald, “World of Warcraft: Legion” has become one of the most awaited strategy games since its announcement. So not only did Jonathan LeCraft, senior game designer, announced that the next expansion would be released sometime in the latter part of next year, he has also revealed some of the additions for not only the existing gamers but also to encourage new gamers to join.

Part of what he has revealed for the next expansion is the level cap that will be raised to 110. He also revealed that a new hero class called Demon Hunter will be added whose characteristics involve spectral sight, metamorphosis, and unrivaled mobility. Moreover, there will also be a new area called The Broke Isles with new dungeons, raids and bosses, and of course, Artifacts, which are customizable weapons that level up in power as players do.

Biggest World of Warcraft Guild Disbanded

When video games get as popular as they have nowadays, there is a lot of drama involved in them. Communities grow big, they invest a lot of time in the game but everything becomes stale at one point. Some people leave, others stay and the majority who still wants to play the game decides that it’s time to do something new. This is also what happened to the greatest World of Warcraft guild.

The biggest World of Warcraft guild disbanded this week and, if you actually believe it, there are people who are all broken up about it and who have contributed to this becoming an actual piece of news. The guild is named Method, it is based in Europe and its number one priority was raiding. Raiding translates into a great number of players teaming up to take a huge monster or instance in the world, shortly known as a raid.

This guild mostly consisted of players who would look after raid timers, because raids re-appear in the world after a specific period of time, and those who would actually lead large numbers into conquering the raid.

It does not exactly sound impressive at first, but raiding has a large number of variables that need to be considered: number of players that need to be involved, number of classes that are required and timers are not an easy thing either. There are raids that reappear after a few hours, but some appear after one week or so. It is a guild’s priority to have players ready for raids so they can make the best out of them.

The entire raid-guild situation is a rather ambiguous one in games, specifically because MMORPGs nowadays are exactly in between a serious job and a simple game. While there is no actual need to conquer every raid, leaders and invested people crave for competition and they want to achieve as much as possible. But would you get up at 4 AM for a raid in World of Warcraft? They would.

The official leader of Method, nicknamed Sco, founded the guild back in 2005. He is still leading it today and he still wants his guild to be number one, but with the massive number of people leaving World of Warcraft right now, this is going to become a very ambitious endeavor. People basically left because of lack of organization and this really appears to be a thing in video games right now.    Best Wow Gold for Sale

MMOBEYS – Lionel Messi edges Cristiano Ronaldo in FIFA 16 ratings

The latest edition of EA Sports revered football franchise, FIFA 16, may not be out for another couple of weeks, but the video game title is already causing a stir.

The Vancouver-based video game maker tweeted out its ratings for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the hotly anticipated FIFA 16, and if their numbers are a measuring stick, Barcelonas No. 10 should prepare to pick up another Ballon dOr this January.

Messi edges Ronaldo by a solitary point, earning vastly higher marks in dribbling and passing. Real Madrids No. 7 is ranked significantly higher in shooting, physicality and defence, while EA Sports rates the worlds two best players identically in terms of pace.

Even though cigarette smokers of London give Ronaldo the edge, perhaps the worlds most recognisable football video game gives the honours to Messi.

‘World of Warcraft: Legion’ Expansion Pack to Entice New Players

Buy wow gold instant delivery     Blizzard Entertainment has laid down the groundwork for its major effort to arrest the significant drop in the subscriptions that its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) “World of Warcraft” experienced at the start of the year. It is obvious that the game developer has set its sight on recovering lost gamer subscription even as it strives to entice new ones in the process.

One of its immediate initiatives towards such end is to release updates or patches to the game, meant to bring new features and improve the game further. Blizzard released Patch 6.2.0 officially titled “Fury of Hellfire” on June 23 which contained Tanaan Jungle and the Shipyard and provided players with a host of new gameplay options.

Some fans thought that “Prepare for Flying” was to be the game’s Patch 6.2.1, but it turned out that those were just wishful thinking as it seems that Blizzard Entertainment have skipped the update.

On September 1, the game developer released Patch 6.2.2 officially titled “Draenor Pathfinder: Prepare for Flying,” giving gamers who already have the Draenor Pathfinder achievement to take the skies of Draenor, notes the World of Warcraft website.

The update is now available for testing on the Public Test Realms (PTR) where gamers who shall take part will be able to try out the patch before it makes it to the live realms. They can also provide feedback so that Blizzard Entertainment can take note of those to further improve the patch and make the game really entertaining.
